Sophie Schonfeld is the Arts & Culture Progam Associate at Smart Growth America and Transportation for America. Sophie joined SGA in 2017 and works with communities to better integrate arts, culture, and community engagement in neighborhood transportation and planning projects. Prior to joining SGA, she was a Consultant at Analysis Group in Boston where she specialized in economics, epidemiology, and evaluation. At Analysis Group, she published several journal articles and worked on a variety of public health topics ranging from diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and accessibility to quality health care.
Sophie is also the Co-Director and Co-Founder of Risa Fund, an organization committed to promoting the well-being of youth in DC through public arts, athletics, and mental health services. She graduated Cum Laude from Tufts University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Community Health.
