Sophie Schonfeld is the Arts & Culture Associate at Smart Growth America and Transportation for America. Sophie joined SGA in 2017 and helps communities integrate arts, culture, and creative placemaking in neighborhood revitalization, equitable development, and transportation planning efforts. Prior to joining SGA, she was an Analyst at Analysis Group in Boston where she specialized in the firm’s Health Economics and Outcomes Research practice for two years. At Analysis Group, she consulted and co-authored several journal articles on a variety of public health-related topics ranging from diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and respiratory infections.
In addition, Sophie holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Community Health from Tufts University and is the Co-Director and Co-Founder of Risa Fund, an organization committed to promoting the well-being of youth in Washington, DC through public arts, athletics, and mental health support.
