Elisa Ramirez is a Senior Policy & Outreach Associate. She advances Transportation for America’s policy goals for surface transportation reauthorization and Smart Growth America’s housing priorities by connecting our policy work with Congressional offices, advocates, practitioners, and coalition partners. Through these relationships, she helps Congressional offices, advocates, and practitioners better understand effective federal transportation and housing policy and translate those policies into meaningful advocacy. She also supports and manages T4A’s membership program and SGA’s LOCUS program.

Elisa’s background includes political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and congressional experience. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a finance assistant on Congressman Seth Magaziner’s congressional campaign and later joined his office on Capitol Hill following the 2022 election. She also conducted state campaign research for American Bridge across multiple races in Virginia, Montana, and Texas.

Elisa graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration. She also holds a certificate in Public Policy Analysis.
