Mehr Mukhtar is a Policy Associate at Transportation for America. In this role, she contributes to policy and advocacy that enhances climate resilience in the transportation system, supports equitable and sustainable public transportation, and advances the national passenger rail network.

Mehr holds a Master’s in Climate & Society from Columbia University, concentrating on climate-resilient urban infrastructure, climate science, and food systems. Mehr has her undergraduate degree in International Relations, with a focus on Environmental Studies and History, from the University of Toronto. It was in her hometown of Lahore, Pakistan, that she became interested in advocating for environmental justice and climate adaptation in the face of disproportionate climate change impacts.
