Nora Brown
Nora Brown is a Transportation Policy Intern with the Transportation for America team. In this role, she researches Completes Streets policies and advocates for sustainable public transportation and increased passenger rail.
She has an extensive advocacy, political, and marketing background. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Community Organizer at Nebraska Appleseed, where she advocated for affordable housing and healthy neighborhoods. She also worked on the Iowa Coordinated Campaign in 2020 and as a Digital Strategist at BattleAxe Digital. It was in her role at the Council on International Educational Exchange, where she traveled to Berlin and London, that she realized her passion for reliable public transportation, pedestrian-centered streets, and safe biking infrastructure.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Nora graduated from Carleton College with a degree in philosophy. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Urban and Regional Planning at Virginia Tech in Arlington, VA.
