“The Best Complete Streets Policies of 2016” comes out on June 8

Mark your calendar! Our annual review of the best Complete Streets policies of the last year comes out on Thursday, June 8, 2017!

This year we are excited to celebrate 1,000 Complete Streets policies now in place nationwide. That includes more than 130 passed in 2016 alone. See the full list of places in the running for this year’s best policy — is your community among them?

In addition, for the second year in a row, this year’s best policy scored a perfect 100 in our analysis. We are thrilled to see communities passing stronger and stronger policies and learning from other places that are doing it right.

To celebrate these achievements and all the communities that passed Complete Streets policies last year, join us for a kickoff webinar discussion on June 8 at 12 p.m. EST:

Join the event to hear from Coalition staff, the community that passed the best policy of 2016, as well as some of the most diverse communities that passed policies last year.

Webinar registrants will also be the first to see the full rankings, ahead of the general release on the morning of June 8.

Each year the National Complete Streets Coalition evaluates policies based on 10 policy elements, including the policy’s vision, the project types included, and next steps for implementation, among others. In 2015, Reading, PA, had the nation’s highest scoring policy.

We’re thrilled to celebrate 1,000 Complete Streets policies now in place, including some of the strongest ever passed. Join us on June 8 to celebrate the best policies of 2016 and safer, more convenient streets that work for everyone.
