Our Championing Complete Streets series highlights Complete Streets efforts in Fort Wayne, IN, Versailles, KY, San Diego, CA, Missoula, MT, and Oklahoma City, OK.
Complete Streets is an approach to planning, designing, building, operating, and maintaining streets that enables safe access for pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit riders of all ages and abilities. As we strive to create more inclusive and resilient communities, implementing Complete Streets is a key step to ensuring that everyone can live safe, prosperous lives.
Whether it’s updating an existing policy or advocating for a new one, each video in this series tells a unique story of the demand for and benefits of a Complete Streets approach—and the ways that a strong Complete Streets policy can promote safer, healthier lives for residents in communities across the country. Fort Wayne, IN | Community-led progress in Fort Wayne

Through AARP’s Rural Lab Technical Assistance Program, we supported Versailles with an application for a USDOT Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant.
