This fall, one event will offer participants the chance to find out where and how New England’s next walkable places will be built. Will you be in the room?

Real estate developers and investors are invited to join LOCUS on November 20, 2014 in Boston, MA for a private luncheon at our LOCUS LinkUp: Building the Next Walkable Places in New England. Municipalities across the country are eager to draw investment and bring jobs to their communities through walkable development. To help facilitate these efforts, LOCUS launched the LinkUp program to connect local elected officials with LOCUS real estate developers and investors to create more models of walkable, sustainable developments on the ground.

The LOCUS LinkUp is a private networking event exclusively for real estate developers and investors around new smart growth deals. Participants at November’s LOCUS LinkUp will have the opportunity to network with top real estate CEOs and executives in the region, learn about sites available for development or redevelopment within the region, and work with local decision-makers to determine what policy changes are needed to reduce barriers to building more mixed-use and transit-oriented development. Join the event to hear from:

avedsian-headshot-90px Mayor Scott Avedisian is the Mayor of Warwick, RI. Mayor Avedisian will present on City Centre Warwick, a 95 acre developable site near Green Airport, Warwick Rail Station, InterLink, and Interstate Routes 95 and 295 that will transform the former manufacturing base into a 21st century transit-oriented hub of commerce within the regional, national, and global marketplace.
Town Manager Robert Halpin of Framingham, MA will identify potential development opportunities for smart growth real estate developers and ways in which the public and private sectors can work together to catalyze economic growth throughout the town.
