Question: “Should we provide an itemized budget or a total stipend cost?”
Answer: To clarify, the budget response should be a total stipend required for full participation in the workshop, including preparation and the on-site workshop (the budget should sub divide costs between direct and indirect costs, hourly rates, travel, etc). Travel can be estimated separately. The budget must provide an hourly rate for follow up work.

[Original post] Smart Growth America (SGA) is preparing a grant proposal to be submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to host and implement the Governor’s Institute on Community Design (EPA-OP-OSC-12-01). SGA is seeking to augment its team capabilities with contractor (professional consultant) expertise. SGA is accepting proposals from interested consulting firms to be a part of the SGA team that is proposing on the EPA grant. The estimated project period for the grant will begin April 1, 2012. The proposed project period (i.e., the length of the project) may be up to five (5) years.
