Real estate professionals, advocates and academics are invited to join LOCUS, the George Washington University Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis and ULI Washington for a day-long event exploring how to develop walkable urban projects and how to implement the strategies for place management in walkable urban places.

Implementing Walkable Urban Development and Place Management will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the George Washington University’s Marvin Center Grand Ballroom in Washington, DC. The event will feature public officials and developers who are creating walkable urban communities, place managers who are governing these places and those in the vanguard of creating mixed-income and accessible walkable urban places. In addition, new research will be released at the event ranking the top 30 metropolitan areas in terms of walkability and a comparison of the DC and Atlanta metropolitan areas.

Visit ULI Washington’s website for more information about the event, a full list of speakers and to register. We hope to see you next week.
