Nominate an outstanding developer for the 2017 LOCUS Leadership Award

Do you know a real estate developer or investor who is creating great walkable places, and has displayed exemplary public leadership to advance smart growth development? If so, nominate them for the 2017 LOCUS Leadership Award.

To be eligible, nominees must be the owner or principal of a private, for-profit company; have a history of development near major centers of employment, public transit and/or transportation hubs; and conduct his or her business in a way that exemplifies the LOCUS mission. The LOCUS Leadership Award is a national opportunity to honor outstanding work in walkable development. In addition, this year’s recipient will receive:

A complimentary trip to Washington, DC to accept the award and make a short presentation about the award-winning project;
A complimentary one year membership to the LOCUS Steering Committee;
A spotlight profile feature in LOCUS’ monthly newsletter distributed to nationwide network and posted on our website.

The deadline to submit nominations is Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Award winners will be announced on March 10, 2017. For more information about applying, see the full eligibility criteria.

The 2017 LOCUS Leadership Award will be presented at the 2017 LOCUS Leadership Summit: P3 is for Partnerships, Placemaking, and Policy, taking place on April 24-25, 2017 in Washington, DC. I hope you’ll join us at that event to honor this year’s award winner.
