According to the Atlanta Regional Commission, the Atlanta region is expected to grow by three million new residents by 2040. With this influx of people, it is vital that future development be near existing infrastructure, especially existing transit stations and stops, to provide people with options on where to live, work, play and lessen their car usage to get to around.
Real estate developers and investors are invited to pre-register now and join LOCUS on February 10, 2015 in downtown Atlanta, GA for a private luncheon at our LOCUS LinkUp: The Next Big Deals around Transit-Oriented Development in Atlanta. Municipalities across the country are eager to draw investment and bring jobs to their communities through mixed-use transit-oriented development. To help facilitate these efforts, LOCUS launched the LinkUp program to connect local elected officials with LOCUS real estate developers and investors to create more models of walkable, sustainable developments on the ground.
LOCUS is inviting developers and investors to learn more about what is happening in the Atlanta metropolitan region in transit-oriented development.
The LOCUS LinkUp is a private networking event exclusively for real estate developers and investors around new smart growth deals. Participants at February’s LOCUS LinkUp will have the opportunity to network with top real estate CEOs and executives in the region, learn about sites available for development or redevelopment within the region, and work with local decision-makers to determine what policy changes are needed to reduce barriers to building more mixed-use and transit-oriented development. Join the event to hear from:
- Mike Carnathan, Researcher at Atlanta Regional Commission, “Metro Atlanta Speaks” Report
- Paul F. Morris, President and CEO at Atlanta BeltLine, Inc.
- Amanda Rhein, Senior Director of Transit-Oriented Development at MARTA
Pre-register today to learn how you can invest in Atlanta’s communities and expand your company’s real estate portfolio.
