Reps Matsui and LaTourette Introduce the Bipartisan Safe and Complete Streets Act of 2011

On May 5, 2011, Representatives Doris Matsui (D-CA) and Steven LaTourette (R-OH) introduced the bipartisan Safe and Complete Streets Act of 2011 into the US House of Representatives. The bill would help ensure safe travel for all Americans, regardless of how they travel.

Complete Streets Champions Receive Legislative Leadership Award

For their efforts to improve the lives of older adults and their families, AARP awarded Representative Doris Matsui and Representative Steven LaTourette with Legislative Leadership awards. The awards recognized both Congress members for championing federal Complete Streets legislation in the 111th Congress.
