Real estate developers and investors are invited to become members of LOCUS, Smart Growth America’s national coalition of real estate developers and investors dedicated to building sustainable, walkable urban development in America’s metropolitan areas. Together LOCUS members work to increase funding and financing for smart growth development; improve regulations at all levels of government to support smart growth; and change federal programs to improve housing and transportation options for all Americans.
National Brownfields Coalition
The National Brownfields Coalition, a program of Smart Growth America, is a non-partisan alliance of public interest organizations, academics, as well as public and private sector professionals who develop and advocate for policies and practices that support the responsible cleanup and reuse of underutilized, blighted, or environmentally impacted land. Our mission is to educate, advocate, and convene stakeholders nationally to advance the social, economic, public health, environmental, and quality of life benefits of environmental cleanup and reuse for all communities.
National Complete Streets Coalition
The National Complete Streets Coalition, a program of Smart Growth America, is a non-profit, non-partisan alliance of public interest organizations and transportation professionals committed to the development and implementation of Complete Streets policies and practices. A nationwide movement launched in 2004, Complete Streets is the integration of people and place in the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of transportation networks.
Transportation for America
Local elected, business, and civic leaders are invited to become members of Transportation for America. A program of Smart Growth America, Transportation for America is the leading national organization committed to supporting the transportation projects that increase economic prosperity, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and advance equity. Members amplify their knowledge and influence on issues ranging from national legislation to trending practices in planning and executing transportation projects.
