October 6: Make Way for Walkability

Make Way for Walkability

Wednesday, October 6

10:00am – 12:00pm EDT

COVID-19 has transformed Americans’ sense of place. When more and more people were staying close to home, we sought to meet our daily needs in our immediate communities—from groceries and healthcare, to recreation, entertainment, and more. But strengthening walkability will continue to be a critical tool for building prosperous and equitable communities. During this session, expert speakers will discuss why walkability is here to stay, what walkable development can do for your community, and share best practices for encouraging walkability that increases economic prosperity and social equity in all Commonwealth communities.
