LOCUS Member Meetings

LOCUS members gain exclusive access to federal policymakers and leaders to learn about and influence policy relevant to land use, housing, and development. Monthly members-only meetings regularly feature facilitated discussions with guest speakers seeking input on policies and programs intended to advance equitable, sustainable development. Guests at recent and upcoming LOCUS members’ meetings have represented:
  • The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD)
  • The White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ)
  • The General Services Administration (GSA)
  • Congressional offices

Convenings

Over the past decade, LOCUS has amplified its influence across local, regional, and federal policy spaces by hosting annual Leadership Summits. During these in-person events, LOCUS leaders and community planning professionals convene to discuss strategies to advance smart growth, strengthen local economies, and ensure more equitable development outcomes for communities across the country. LOCUS members also have the chance to network and connect with other members across the country, leading to expanded opportunities for business growth and development. LOCUS has also hosted Hill Days and LinkUps, which showcase sites coming online for new TOD and mixed-use development projects.
