On Tuesday we released Dangerous by Design 2016, new research looking at the epidemic of pedestrian fatalities across the United States and how changing the way we build our streets can help address it.
As part of the kickoff of that event, we hosted an online webinar to discuss the findings in more detail. Joining the event were Emiko Atherton, Director of the National Complete Streets Coalition; Nancy LeaMond, Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy & Engagement Officer for AARP; Charles Brown, Senior Researcher and Adjunct Professor at the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey; and Trenda McPherson, State Bicycle/Pedestrian Safety Program Manager at the Florida Department of Transportation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for yesterday’s webinar, both as speakers and participants. To learn more about this new research, explore the full resources.
